Successful organizations, both private and public, place strategy at the centre of management process. But many research studies show that a good number of organizations are not able to derive the best returns on investment made in developing and executing their strategy.
Also, many organizations are unable to figure out why their strategy fails and most importantly what they can do to turn the tide.
At the Lagos Business School Alumni session held last year, we reviewed the factors responsible for failure of strategy in most organizations and examined the findings from the various research studies conducted among some of the world leading companies to throw light on these factors. We also gave examples of some of the major reasons responsible for this phenomenon.
